Rick Jacobs entered the aquatic industry in 1976, at just 14 years old, cleaning pools in Southern California. What began as an after-school pursuit quickly transformed into a lifelong career dedicated to mastering every aspect of water care — from construction and design to chemical engineering and system diagnostics. Over the next five decades, Rick built a reputation as a leader, mentor, and innovator in the pool industry. With 18 factory certifications and Genesis 3 Level I–II design credentials, his expertise bridges hands-on craftsmanship and advanced design theory — a rare combination that continues to define his success. But experience alone wasn’t enough. Rick saw what others overlooked — that even perfectly balanced water could still be plagued by scale, oil, and phosphate buildup. Dissatisfied with conventional chemistry, he began formulating chemsafe solutions that would be both powerful and entirely non-toxic.
After years of development and testing alongside chemists, Rick introduced the ChemSafe USA product line, which includes:
Enzyme Xtreme – An advanced organic enzyme cleaner specifically designed for pools and tile.
Descaler Xtreme – A non-corrosive mineral and scale remover that effectively maintains aquatic surfaces.
